Helping You See the Whole Child. Not Just the Struggles.

YOU’RE NOT ALONE.
If you’ve been walking the school system tightrope, trying strategy after strategy, and wondering why things still feel so hard — you’re not alone. Maybe your child’s backpack feels heavier than it should, or their spark feels buried under expectations and frustration. You’re here because you know there’s more to the story — and there is.

Who You’ll Be Talking To
At Chickadee Psychology, we believe every child is more than their struggles — and every family deserves to feel supported and understood. As both a psychologist and a parent, I know how important it is to feel seen, heard, and confident in the path you’re choosing for your child.
Together, we’ll focus on your child’s strengths, support their growth, and give your family the tools you need to move forward with confidence.

Assessments That Tell The Whole Story
Every child is different, and every assessment is too. Whether you’re here because of school struggles, questions about gifted programming, or private school entry, we’ll find the right fit. Our assessments look at cognitive, academic, social-emotional, attention, and executive functioning—because your child is more than just one test score.
Comprehensive Psych-ed Assessment
Includes testing of cognitive, academic, attention, executive functioning, and social-emotional skills — giving a complete picture of your child’s strengths and challenges.
Private School Assessment
Some Calgary private schools (such as Rundle, Foothills Academy, West Island College, Calgary Academy) require a psychological assessment as part of their admissions process. You’ll walk away with both the documentation schools need and practical insights to support your child’s success.
GATE Gifted Assessment
Cognitive and academic testing to identify gifted potential and provide insights for school placement and learning support.
Westmount Charter Gifted
Focused cognitive assessment (e.g., WISC-V, Stanford-Binet) designed to meet Westmount Charter School requirements and support your child’s application process.
Schedule Your First Steps:
Getting started can feel big, but the process is simple. You can schedule everything at once, beginning with an online parent intake meeting and followed by one or two child assessment sessions, or just book the intake to start the ball rolling. From there, we’ll take care of the rest together.
Not sure what you need yet? That’s completely okay. Leave me a message through the contact form, and I’ll reach out to schedule a free 20-minute consultation so we can talk it through.
